Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is led by the powerhouse duo Katy (Wild and Wanderful) & Angelica (Gardening in High Heels). We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
Happy Mother’s Day to all my fellow Mommys out there! Last year I didn’t realize until later that I was actually pregnant on Mother’s Day but just didn’t know it yet. This year though I am Mommy to the most perfect little boy I could ask for and loving every moment of it! On to Sunday Lately…
This week’s themes: Shopping, Releasing, Breaking, Cleaning, and Sewing…
Shopping ~ for a few odds ‘n ends I need for David as he gets bigger. I finally found socks that fit and stay on! I also found a super cool bowl with a matching food masher on Amazon that I am looking forward to using as David starts eating fruits and veggies in the next few months. Check it out here: Mash ‘N Feed Bowl.
Releasing ~ myself from the need to be perfect and realizing that if I need to release my desire for my idea of normal and instead accept God’s ideas of normal for my life. I find more every day, week, and year that the more I let go and let God, the better my life is!
Breaking ~ not nearly as much as I had been. I went through a few weeks where it seemed I was constantly breaking drinking glasses, plates, bowls etc. The past week though I have only broken a few nails. WIN!
Cleaning ~ as much of our house as possible! I’ve never really been the Spring Cleaning type of gal but this year I am attempting it. Little Man will be crawling before any of us are ready for it so as I clean I am also working towards baby proofing. Hubby and I bought a used carpet shampooer a few years ago for a fraction of the price it would have been new and it is definitely worth every penny we spent. I cringe when I see how dirty the water that I pull out of my carpet is, but its nice to know Little Man isn’t crawling through all the dirt!
Sewing ~ absolutely nothing! I have a pile of clothes that have needed fixed for months but there are so many other things that need done much more and things that are much more enjoyable lol.
