Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is led by the powerhouse duo Katy (Wild and Wanderful) & Angelica (Gardening in High Heels). We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
Laughing… at myself trying to plan any type of schedule around a 2 1/2 month old baby boy. My cleaning schedule for this week…yeah didn’t happen, nor did my workout schedule or blogging schedule. I keep reminding myself though that someday when I look back I won’t remember my cluttered house or how out of shape I was, I’ll remember the precious days with my Little Man wanting nothing more than to be held by Mommy.
Suggesting… The C25K (Couch to 5K) app! I successfully completed the week 1 of 8 in this program and loved it! I downloaded the free version for iPhone ( because free is perfectly in the budget right now) but the paid version has even more included. This week was three workouts, each including a 5-minute warm-up, 20 minute workout (alternating between 1 minute jogging and 1 1/2 walking), and a 5 minute cool-down. The cool features: voice prompts (even when phone is locked), I can play Pandora Radio at the same time, and it pauses if someone calls you during your workout. The not-so-cool: It is opening my eyes to how out of shape I am lol. I would definitely suggest this app though even if you’re looking for a change of pace or some structured exercise instead of training for a 5K. (Note: I was not compensated by C25K in any way, this is purely my opinion)
Reminding…myself that Rome wasn’t built in a day and my blog won’t be at 10,000 page views a month either. Blogging has definitely been a slow starting venture for me. I initially started this blog about 2 years ago and have posted a few times a year until about 2 months ago when suddenly I had time that I had to be sitting down (to recover from labor and delivery and keep Little Man happy) and realized there was no better time to really get serious about blogging than the present. It has been slow coming, but I’ll get there!
Embracing… every moment with Little Man and my family. Watching hubby and I’s parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles etc. with Little Man has been such a blessing to me. Mommyhood has been such a grand adventure for me and bring our families along for the ride somehow makes it even better! God has blessed us in so many ways since Little Man came into our lives but having our families (including church family) surrounding us has been such a blessing!
Creating… a document for brainstorming! This past week I started brainstorming post ideas, ideas for printables, and ideas for a possible e-book for sometime in the future. My dream is for this blog to be a place women can come and find inspiration, tips, tricks, crafts, recipes etc. all with some of God’s greatest blessings in mind…our children.
Well, that’s it from me today! Hope you are enjoying a peaceful and rejuvenating weekend! Supposed to be raining here all weekend but any time spent with Hubby and Little Man is always a breath of fresh air for me!
