Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is led by the powerhouse duo Katy (Wild and Wanderful) & Angelica (Gardening in High Heels). We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Reading, Fancying, Getting, Doubting, Scheduling
Reading… Wife for Life: The Power to Succeed in Marriage by Ramona Zabriskie. I bought this book back in October 2016, not because Hubby and I were having any marital problems(nor are we now), but because I heard Ramona speak and just share a bit of her book during an online conference and in her short 45 minute seminar I was hooked and knew I had to buy her book. I haven’t finished yet but so far this book is a goodie and seems like it would be helpful for women in all stages of marriage, just in the first years (like me) or married for many years and also for those who simply want their marriage to be as strong as possible (like me) or those who are having marital problems.
Fancying… my flowerbed. Another goal for this week is to get my flowerbed ready for planting flowers. I need to get rid of the dead plants from last year, pull the weeds, and loosen up the dirt that has settled into a rock hard state over the winter months. My beautiful tulips have started blooming so its starting to look a bit more like Spring!
Getting… a bit more sleep at night! Little Man (my 2-month-old) seems to finally be back to only one feeding through the night instead of the 2 or 3 I was waking up for two weeks ago. The sudden change in sleeping habits just goes to show how sensitive babies are to having their schedules changed a bit!
Doubting… I will be wearing anything other than flip flops anywhere except work and my parents’ farm. Flip flop season has finally arrived and at last I can wear the ones I bought last year on sale at the end of the season! I despise closed toe shoes and especially lace-up shoes. When not wearing flip flops I am usually wearing flats since I can easily slip my feet out of them.
Scheduling… each room of my house to be cleaned next week! Since Little Man came into our lives and since I went back to work my poor house has been dreadfully neglected. I think part of the reason is that every time I look around I get overwhelmed at how much needs done. Next week my plan is to tackle one room (and only one room), wash dishes and do a load of laundry every day. We’ll see if it works, but its a good idea right?
Well folks, that’s it for today…here’s to a productive week!
