It feel so good to be back on my blog again. I can’t wait to share with you as I journey through motherhood. This week has been similar to the past 4 weeks since Baby David (aka Little Man) was born, he keeps growing and developing more sounds, facial expressions and antics that make me love him more each day. Meanwhile, I am getting almost nothing done in the house but am learning each day to accept how much or little I get done as progress. These days of Little Man being little will only be here for so long and I plan to enjoy each day to the fullest! 🙂
So without further ado, Sunday Lately…
Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is led by the powerhouse duo Katy (Wild and Wanderful) & Angelica (Gardening in High Heels). We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
Smelling… the outdoors again, specifically the scents on my parents’ farm. Last week I emerged back into the outside world on two different days. The time I was outside in those two days was equivalent to more than I was outside in the previous month combined. LOL. It felt good to smell the farm scents, and all the scents our crazy windy weather was bringing with it.
Wanting… Spring weather to hurry up and come here to stay. The past few weeks have brought glorious sunshine and 40-70 degree days, my tulips have popped up out of the ground, and I haven’t had to bundle up with multiple layers like usual in March..and then Friday it snowed, and snowed, and snowed. Ok, so maybe we didn’t get that much but Libby (our beagle) was wading through snow almost up to her shoulders. I’m quite ready to be done with the snow and have the warm weather here to stay!
Reminiscing… about our first month with Little Man. It is so hard to believe he turned one month old last week . It has been an adjustment for all of us, but especially for him. It has been so much fun watching him start to discover the world around him. He is already pushing himself up off of me, lifting his head, and smiling at people. It is crazy how fast they grow. Stay tuned for more about Little Man’s first month later in the week.
Memorizing… all sorts of baby facts. When he should be achieving developmental milestones… how long you can store breastmilk at room temperature, in the fridge and in the freezer… the best ways to promote breastmilk production… at what ages he can start eating different foods (I’m trying to plan ahead for this year’s garden)…
Completing… 10 minute Pilates workouts!!! I’m not working out every day yet but am trying for at least every other day. Let me tell you, it feels WONDERFUL to be back on my mat and moving my body to tone and strengthen the muscles that weren’t given nearly enough attention during pregnancy.
