Instant Pot Sausage & Potatoes

Anyone who knows my husband and I, knows that he is a meat and potatoes guy and that’s about it. When I received an Instant Pot for Christmas two years ago I struggled to find meals that would work for us. Most recipes I find have all kinds of ingredients you can only find at health food stores. This has forced me to recreate and create on my own recipes that will work for us. The recipe I’m going to share today is so simple. It is actually easy enough that Hubby can make it himself!

So here it is:
Ingredients Needed:
1 lb. of Sausage – I usually use a country sausage or sweet Italian but you can use any type of sausage
4-5 large potatoes – This is a rough guess since it depends on potato size
2 Beef Bouillon cubes
1 cup water

Step 1: Cut up sausage into bite-sized pieces (if you’re using links, remove the casings) and put it right into the Instant Pot. I use my kitchen sheers for this and find that it cuts up easier than using a knife.

Wash and cut up your potatoes into bite-sized pieces and add to the sausage in the pot.

After you have added your potatoes, be sure to stir the two together. If you don’t stir them the sausage pieces will cook together, resulting in a glob of sausage underneath your potatoes.

Add bouillon cubes and 1 cup of water and place the lid on your pot. Make sure the knob on top is in the sealing position and set your Instant Pot on Manual for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, this meal is fine to let on Keep Warm for a bit if you aren’t ready for it immediately or you can release the pressure right away. Usually, I stir everything around just to make sure there isn’t any sausage stuck together and then it is ready to be served!

I usually put some salt and pepper on this dish, Hubby puts a mountain of cheese on it(like he does most of his food.)
