Happy New Year!
The year 2015 brought about a lot of changes for the Follett household. In January Hubby and I stepped into youth ministry at our church which has been a learning and growing experience for both of us. We also traveled a little farther down the road of homeownership. After going through 3 washers in a year I determined I have terrible luck with appliances, thankfully so far washer #3 is working just fine! 🙂 September brought about the end of renting and we became official homeowners. November and December were crazy and chaotic but in amongst family health issues and traveling we were able to enjoy valuable time with family and friends and welcomed our first nephew into the world! With 2015 over it is time to stop looking back and begin looking forward.
I have struggled with the transition to the new year but today I am finally facing it with new goals, ideas and most importantly a smile! 🙂 There are a lot of articles out there right now that give advice on how best to go about making resolutions and one of the common pieces of advice is to make your goals measurable. So while I started by saying I am going to walk and exercise more, I adjusted that resolution with something measurable. My grandmother and I have made a goal that together we are going to walk 2,016 miles by the end of 2016. In October I purchased a Fitbit which has helped me be more aware of how much or how little I am walking and will assist me in reaching this goal as well! I am so excited to begin this challenge!
As this new year progresses I’ll continue sharing my goals with you and would love to hear some of yours as well. I’m also looking forward to sharing with you some of my favorite pins, recipes, household tricks and more! Once again, from our family to yours Happy New Year!
