Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is led by the powerhouse duo Katy (Wild and Wanderful) & Angelica (Gardening in High Heels). We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Working, Loving, Stressing, Growing, Visiting
Working to find the energy to get back to working out! After this past week of once again being lazy I think I have finally gotten back to the point where I am ready to starting working out and losing more of the weight I gained during pregnancy. I am so excited for the day I can look in the mirror and not dread putting on pre pregnancy clothing.
Loving each passing day of Mommyhood. I am not loving how fast Little Man is growing and changing but I’m loving being Mommy to this precious little boy! Every day I get to spend with him is such a blessing from God! It has been so much fun to watch other people with him as well. Hubby and I’s parents and grandparents all adore him and it definitely shows.
Stressing about how cluttered and dusty my house has become. I’m hoping to get my house back to the cleanliness that was the norm before Little Man(who will be two months old this week) came into our lives. I am fairly accustomed to living in clutter, dust and the occasional cobweb, this house has been let go too far! If I can at least clean off most of the surfaces in the house I’ll be a happy girl…didn’t happen last week but hopefully this week will be different.
Growing my hair for a little while longer. I have SUPER thick hair that is often quite the pain. My wonderful sis-in-law happens to be a fabulous hairdresser and gave me just a trim today but I am seriously considering having it cut short the next time she pulls out her scissors. My hair grows so fast anyway that a shorter hair cut could be reversed in only a little time and then Hubby (who likes it better long) would be happy again.
Visiting my husband’s family who lives about 3 1/2 hours away. We had a great visit with my in-laws this weekend! I was a bit nervous about going with Little Man and both of our puppy dogs (a beagle and a yellow lab.) The way up went pretty well, Little Man slept the whole way and with the exception of some travel anxiety from Libby (the beagle) the trip up was flawless. While visiting, Little Man had the first night in a while that he woke me up more than once in the same night. After waking me, he decided he couldn’t sleep unless Mommy was holding him so I proceeded to sit awake with Little Man from 5:45 until the sun came up and the family woke up. The ride home presented us with more travel anxiety from Miss Libby and a crying Little Man for the last hour of our trip. Overall a great time visiting!
